The yellow alert from the Spanish Met office is set to continue until 6pm today, due to the strong winds and heavy rain that have been battering Malaga province over the past few days.

The yellow alert is in place for coastal regions only after 3pm today.

Tomorrow the forecast is for more heavy rain and strong winds in Nerja with a yellow alert in Ronda with winds of up to 70 kmh.

Temperatures are also predicted to rise, with 19º or 20ºC forecast by the end of the week.

The rain in Nerja over the past few days has wiped out the newly replaced sand on Torrecilla beach, so no doubt the JCBs will be out again next week to repair the damage.
