This year’s Maroween will take place as usual on Wednesday October the 31st, Halloween night. The festival takes place in the main square in Maro.
Sweet roast chestnuts and sweet potatoes will be given out free to all those attending this very popular event.
There will be live performances from La Carpa and Cristian dance troupe plus DJs, prizes for best costume and there will also be a raffle for a kid goat – this is known as Chotoween.
The entertainment begins at 6pm and goes on until late.
Maro is a small village a few kilometres along the coast from Nerja and is easily reached by bus or taxi or even on foot.
