Nerja Feria 2015 got underway last night with a spectacular sound and light show on the Balcon de Europa. Flames, fireworks, laser lights and a deafening sound system finished off an evening of music and speeches to mark the opening of the Feria ground.
The Municipal Band gave a half hour concert, the crowd were sent to sleep by interminable speeches before being woken up by again an explosion of sound and light. The display ended with the Christmas style illuminations (new for this year) being turned on and the Feria was open. The illuminations extend from the Balcon de Europa, through the neighbouring streets, all the way to the feria ground.
