The girls Volleball team from Nerja’s municipal volleyball school have finished in 10th place in the national championships held in San Cugat del Vallés in Cataluyna. A total of 24 teams from all around Spain took part. Despite the 10th place the Nerja team were unlucky to finish higher up the table, missing out on the medals.
The councillor for Sports, José Alberto Tomé, congratulated the team and their trainers for taking part in this competition at the very highest level and for their strong showing in the Spanish Championships, and stated that he believed that the team deserved to have finished in a better position.
