From March 2nd to 4th the Plaza Espana in Nerja will be the location for a market showcasing products from the National Parks of Andalucia. A great opportunity to buy locally made goods of certified quality and sustainability.

The market is organized by FASEPAN, who award licences to businesses in the National Park areas which meet the high environmental and quality criteria required to display their mark, in collaboration with the Directorate General for Sustainable Development and Environmental Information of the Ministry of Environment and the City of Nerja.

The objective of this initiative is to contribute to the socio-economic revitalization of natural areas from sustainability, in this case in the Natural Park Sierras de Tejeda, Alhama and Almijara.

The market will host a dozen companies in the food and agriculture, craft and nature tourism services. Visitors can sample and buy traditional Malaga wines, cheeses, organic preserves, handicrafts and find out about tourist service providers in the region.

The information bus of the Natural Parks of AndalucĂa quality mark will be on hand to provide information about this brand of quality and environmental management to local companies and the public.

On Friday March 2 at 11.30am, a briefing will be given on The Natural Park of AndalucĂa brand, what it is, how to get certified, and the advantages of having it. This will be aimed at companies interested in obtaining the license for their products or services and will also raise awareness of the certification procedure, explain FASEPAN promotion strategies.
