The Nerja Caves Foundation and the Mayor of Nerja have announced that the Nerja Museum will open its doors on the ‘Dia de la Constitucion’, December 6th. The museum will be open from Tuesday to Sunday with an entry fee of €6 but visitors to both the museum and the Nerja Caves will receive a discount.
Angel Ramirez, the manager of the foundation, explained that the opening of the Nerja Museum was not the end of the project but the beginning. He exlained this attraction would be a boost to tourism and also to the historical knowledge of the town of Nerja and of course the caves themselves. The museum ‘is a creature to be developed and cared for’ he concluded.
The museum is in the Plaza De Espana behind the town hall and will open on the same day that the inaugural Christmas Craft Market takes place in the same square.
