The local police in Nerja are cracking down on illegal street trading following complaints from shopkeepers and local businesses. So far various items have been seized, including clothing, scarves, toys and fake branded sunglasses.
The campaign has been carried out in the busiest parts of Nerja such as Burriana Beach, the Balcon de Europa and the streets of the old town. Fake polo shirts including Lacoste and Ralph Lauren, have been seized, as well as a backpack containing massage equipment.
The local police have said they will continue to stop unlicensed street sales around Nerja.
