Nerja Residents Day 2016 will take place on Sunday the 17th of April 2016 from midday until 5pm. This year’s Residents Day is making a welcome return to Plaza España behind the Ayuntamiento builiding by the Balcon de Europa. In the event of bad weather the event will be held the following Sunday.
There will be the usual mix of live entertainment on the big stage, a total of forty two local associations providing stalls and information on their activities, as well as refreshments and typical food from the different countries represented. One of the highlights of the entertainment will be the Municipal Band performing live at the start of the event, followed by more music and dancing throughout the afternoon.
Last year’s event was controversially held at Torrecilla’s Plaza Cangrejos, which generated many complaints from the clubs and associations which normally take part. As a consequence the new council have returned Resident’s Day to the much larger venue behind the town hall.
