Last year the event was moved back a week for the same reason, although in the end the weather on the original date was fine.
The unstable weather is being caused by the area of low pressure moving down from the UK, which has caused very high winds and storms in northern Spain, closing ports and airports.
In Nerja, temperatures are currently around 23`C, with a strong wind from the west.
