The Spanish Government announced on Friday that the speed limit on the country’s motorways will revert to 120 kilometers per hour from July 1st.  This follows a decision in March to reduce the limit to 110 kilometers per hour in an attempt to reduce fuel consumption of motorists.  At that time the price of oil stood at 127 dollars per barrel and prices at the pump were rising.  With the recent drop in oil prices the government no longer believes the reduced speed limit is necessary.
