This years Veladilla de San Miguel takes place in Plaza Andalucia, Nerja on Saturday the 15th of September. The events start at 9.30am with a diana floreada by the San Miguel Arcángel Bugle and Drum Band. Followed by:-
11.30am a mass will be held with the Arena y Sal (“Sand and Salt) choir taking part.
1pm the childrens King and Queen will be elected and a tribute will be paid to José Sánchez Martín.
1.30pm the dancing will start with a performance by the Torcuato Dance Academy followed by the Cristian dance group.
2.30 p.m. there will be paella courtesty of Ayo’s and Rafa Castro will perform.
After a break, at 5pm, there will be popular games followed an hour later with the Daniel Romero and Mireia Cortés dance groups.
The Elena Dance Academy will perform at 9pm and half an hour later the following choirs will perform: Coro Rociero de Mayores de Nerja, Coro Rociero de la Peña Nerjeña, Coro Rociero Abanico de Ilusiones de Nerja and Coro de la Hermandad de la Virgen del Carmen from Torre del Mar.
At midnight there will be a live perfomance from singer Tati Rodríguez.
