Plaza Cavana Nerja is the square next to the church by the Balcon de Europa. Plaza Cavana has recently had a makeover and has new seating and pavements, making it one of the smartest squares in town.
The square is surrounded by cafes, restaurants and shops, and in the summer all the bars have outside tables, where you can sit and watch the world go by. Plaza Cavana is a good spot to watch the various processions that go along Calle Diputacion, including San Isidro. The square’s popularity with visitors is reflected in the prices the cafes charge and if you want a lower cost option, try the Italian Cafe in the cobbled side street by the church, which is run by Italians.
If you are looking to rent or buy a property, Key Homes Spain have offices on the square.
The nearest beach is El Salon, down a windy footpath just behind the church.
