Welcome to our home "Casa Anduez", tucked away in a private passageway in the town centre of Nerja, close to shops, bars, restaurants, beaches and the famous Balcon de Europa.


The house itself is a modern recently renovated 3 bedroom 2.5 bathroom, semi-detached house with private garden and sun loungers, smart fully equipped kitchen master bedroom with en-suite shower room, and everything else you need for an enjoyable stay in Nerja.


The property has air-conditioning in all the bedrooms for a comfortable nights sleep in the hot summer months (and heating during the winter), internet and British satellite TV in the lounge and sun loungers and dining table outside to make the most of the good weather here.


The house is approached down a private residential passageway of only 12 semi-detached houses. The front gate opens onto the tropical front garden and covered side terrace.


Accommodation comprises on the ground floor, a large modern white Shaker style kitchen equipped with electric oven, hob, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, kettle, microwave and toaster. A door leads out onto the pretty front garden, with swing seat, fruit trees and other tropical plants. This garden gets the sun from early afternoon until the evening in the summer.


Also on the ground floor is the lounge, which runs the full width of the house and has double glass patio doors onto the sunny south-facing back garden. The lounge features a working fire place as well as a Panasonic wall mounted air conditioning unit for heating in the winter.


The lounge (furnished with comfortable leather sofa and armchairs, coffee table, flat screen TV, DVD player) has British satellite TV and Spanish terrestrial TV, plus broadband internet. There is also a CD radio stereo, plus a selection of English language books and a guide to Nerja and its surrounding attractions.


The downstairs toilet with wash hand basin is next to the lounge.


The back garden is one of the highlights of the property, with sun loungers, table and chairs. It is planted with mature bushes and buganvilla, which gives some shade during the summer as well as privacy from the neighbouring properties, allowing guests to sunbathe in their own private space. A charcoal barbecue is also provided along with a dining table with another four chairs in the covered terrace around the side of the house - this is an ideal spot for al-fresco dining, even in the full heat of August.


Upstairs there are three double bedrooms (with two single beds in each), the master bedroom having an on-suite shower room and fitted wardrobe for storage. The bedrooms all have bedside tables with lamps and ample wardrobe space with hangers provided.


All three of the bedrooms have hot and cold Panasonic air-conditioning units for cooling in the summer and heating in the winter months, plus ceiling fans if you would rather a gentle breeze instead.


The family bathroom is also on this level, with a full size bath (with shower head), wash hand basin, wc and bidet plus electric wall heater.


There is plenty of storage space around the side of the house for beach equipment, bicycles etc.


Hot water is provided by an electric boiler and the cooker and oven are also both electric - there are no gas bottles to change in the middle of a shower in " Casa Anduez". An electric iron, ironing board and hair dryer are also included for guests to use.

Local Amenities and Nerja

The house is at the end of a private gated passageway, far enough from the road to make it a very peaceful location, yet still in the centre of town.

The local butchers, bakers, fishmongers, greengrocers and mini-market are all within a few minutes walk of the house, plus there is a large supermarket nearby. On nearby Los Huertos there is a British food shop, Indian and Chinese takeaways and restaurants, plus there are many tapas bars, Spanish restaurants and cafes in the surrounding streets.

Carabeillo Beach is just 350 metres away. Nerja has 8 beaches in all and the unspoilt Spanish town retains its charm, particularly in the old town with its narrow streets and traditional tapas bars.  The famous Balcon De Europa, with its incredible panoramic views, is the focal point of Nerja and cannot be missed.  For shopping Calle Pintada is the main destination, and a weekly outdoor market is held on Tuesdays.  Festivals take place throughout the year and are always a highlight for those in Nerja at the time.

As a base for touring the eastern Costa Del Sol Nerja is perfect, being on the coastal motorway.  Malaga is only an hour away by car, Granada and its ski slopes only slightly further and the beautiful inland mountains and villages on the doorstep.
