Nerja’s Easter Sunday parade was rained off today, with the cross making a brief journey up Calle Pintada before turning round and heading back to the church on the Balcon de Europa, leaving the hundreds of people who had turned out to watch feeling let down and damp.
The rain is forecast to continue tomorrow afternoon, before the good weather returns on Tuesday. Although Easter Monday is a bank holiday in many countries, it is not here, so most of the Easter visitors will already have returned home.
Residents Day takes place in one weeks time on the 27th of April, followed by Dia de La Cruz on the 3rd of May and San Isidro on the 15th.
