The Masquerade Ball to raise funds for the Costa Animal Society promises to be the summer event of the year! The event is set for Friday, June 8, at the Al-Andalus Hotel in Maro.
CAS stages two major social events of the year and they are always sold out well in advance. In addition to offering a great night out, complete with dinner and dancing, they are important as they raise substantial amounts of cash to help the charity in its work with stray and abandoned animals.
This year, guests will enjoy drinks and canapés on arrival, followed by a four-course dinner, including wine, coffee and liqueurs. Entertainment will be provided by two old friends of CAS, local singer and guitarist Andy Time plus Mark Peters from Global Radio. In addition, there will be another of CAS’s famous grand raffles with a selection of superb prizes, kindly donated by supportive businesses and individuals.
Tickets are 35 euros, but anyone booking a table of ten or more gets one place free. Details from the CAS Office (95 252 3607) or Vera Newing (95 252 9670). A copy of the menu can be obtained from the CAS Office or by emailing a request to rthorne1@gmail.
Dress is formal and masks should be worn to disguise identities and cause confusion!
