This year’s Nerja Contemporary Dance Festival – NerjaDanza – starts on the 24th of October 2012 and is in its eighth year. The concept of NerjaDanza is to make contemporary dance accessible to new audiences, by performing both in the theatre and out on the streets.
As well as the live performances there will be a photography exhibition and dance workshops on offer.
The street performances will take place every day in the spectacular setting of the Balcon de Europa at lunchtimes at 1pm, with the theatre performances at the Nerja Cultural Centre in the evenings. Artists will include Angela Lampiranidou from Germany, Loïc Perela from France, Ulrike Doszman also from Germany and Einat Tuchman from Israel.
I-Fen Tung from Taiwan will perform the piece “How To Say” chosen as the best work at the Young Stars Programme of the Taiwan National Foundation of Culture and Arts.
