El Quijote on Calle Cristo (post office street) was until October 2013 Bar Turry and prior to that Taberna Del Pescador, a popular tapas bar that closed in Autumn 2012, despite its popularity with locals and visitors alike. The bar has now re-opened yet again with new owners as El Quijote complete with a full size statue of the windmill tilter himself, and serves free tapas with your drinks.

The bar itself is narrow with stools at the bar and a few tables and chairs, but with no terrace or outside space and is a few doors up from El Niño.

There is usually a good selection of tapas available at very reasonable prices and the new owner is always friendly and welcoming to new visitors.

Overall a good replacement for Bar Turry and well worth visiting on your tapas tour on this side of town.
