Flights are being disrupted across Spain today by planned strike action being carried out by the Iberia pilots union SEPLA. Although 121 flights have been affected, all Iberia flights to and from Malaga airport are running as normal.
The ongoing action, which started on April 9, is in protest about the launch of the new low-cost airline Iberia Express. The union has decided to go on strike every Monday and Friday until the 20th of July for a total of 30 days, costing the company millions in lost revenues.
Passengers who have booked to fly with Iberia on strike days are advised to check with the airline in advance to see if their flight will be affected. You can also check flight information on our Malaga airport page.
