Nerja Council has announced that work has begun on replacing broken playground equipment at Burriana Beach and at Plaza Cangrejos near to Torrecilla Beach. Work began yesterday and will continue in the coming days. The councillor responsible for this department, Nieves Atencia, reported that the remedial action will be carried at no cost to the council, as it is covered under warranty by the company that installed them. The councilor added that “thanks to discussions with the company, the council will not have to pay for any labour charge either”.
The Councillor said that the renewal of the equipment forms part of a policy of continued improvement of the playgrounds in the town.
