A group of students from the Geography Department at the Royal Holloway, University of London has visited Nerja to carry out field studies on various aspects of the local economy.
The students visited different areas of Nerja and Maro, and participated in a meeting with City Council members and officials which took place in the town hall. Some of the issues they have been studying is the integration of foreign residents in the town, youth unemployment, sustainable development and education.
The Geography Department at Royal Holloway, University of London, has been taking first year students on educational trips to Nerja and its surroundings since the late 1990s.
