The foreigners department is only going to be open on Thursdays from 10am to 2pm. The foreigners department gives assistance to foreign residents in their own language with issues relating to the council, such as taxes, planning requirements etc and Spanish paper work in general.
The foreigners department also produce a small booklet “Living in Nerja” which has useful advice on the various bureaucratic procedures that you need to follow to stay in Nerja long term.
The foreigners department is located in an office underneath the arches that lead to Plaza España next door to the Nerja tourist office.
