The Nerja Caves and Museum Information office is located in the passageway underneath the Ayuntamiento offices between the Balcon de Europa and Plaza de España in Nerja. The new offices have a large photograph of the inside of the Nerja Caves and an information desk. The opening hours of the caves and museum are displayed on a sign in the window.
The Nerja Museum itself is located in the far corner of Plaza de España a few minutes walk from the information office. The museum contains various artefacts that were found in the Nerja caves, plus it has a video on the history of the region, but sadly not much else. The museum has suffered from lower than expected visitor numbers, which perhaps reflects the limited number of exhibits it contains. A combined entrance ticket can be purchased for the caves and the museum, and whilst a trip to the caves is highly recommended, the museum is only really worth visiting on the days it is free to enter.
The Nerja Tourist Information office is on the corner opposite the caves information office.
