Nerja’s Ciudad Deportiva held their “Deporte para todos” sports day at the weekend, organised by the Taller de la Amistad. During the day different sporting events were held, in which all the family could take part ending with a walk from the sports stadium over to the Taller de la Amistad’s centre, where a paella was served.
Amongst the different events held, the water based activities were the most popular with the smallest (and not so small) competitors. The president of the Taller de la Amistad, Cristina Fernández, had advised participants to bring a change of clothing with them for this very reason, although everyone appreciated getting wet on this hot June day.
The Ciudad Deportiva is the sports stadium on the eastern side of town near to the Supersol. The Taller de la Amistad provides education, training, leisure and other services for disabled residents of Nerja from all age groups
