The Popular Traditions department at Nerja council have organised a series of workshops teaching people how to make Christmas decorations and “fofuchas”.
Fofuchas are a type of hand-made doll, which originated in Brazil, using a technique called “foamy 3D”. The dolls can be highly detailed and colourful, making them a uniquely special gift.
The workshops, given by Paola Gallardi, are on every Monday afternoon in the Centro Municipal de Información Juvenil on Calle Cristo (just up from the Post Office) and are open to all ages. As well as fofuchas, the classes will also be making Christmas decorations and small gifts for the festive season.
