This year’s Fiesta Blanca will be held on Sunday the 14th of August 2016 on Nerja’s El Chucho beach (the next beach along from Torrecilla). The party starts at 8.00pm with live entertainment from Robert Mendoza (violin), Heri Medrano (saxophone), singer Nara D, plus DJs Emilio González, Vicman Romero & Mike Sildavia, Koty Jiménez, Saúl Gómez and Sepi Pinazo..
The Fiesta Blanca has been taking place in Nerja for the past eight years on Nerja’s beaches. The party starts in the evening and goes on until the small hours, with live music and DJs performing on a specially constructed stage on the beach.
This year’s event was due to take place on El Salon beach, but was moved at the last minute to El Chucho where there is more space available on the beach. In previous years wind and big waves have caused the event to be cancelled as the stage area was awash with sea water and the council hopes that the move to El Chucho will solve this problem.
