The Nerja Caves Spring Concert Season is on until the 17th of June. The concerts are held in the Waterfall Hall (Sala de la Cascada) every Sunday at 11am and 1pm with no extra charge for visitors. The Sala de la Cascada is also the setting for the Nerja Caves festival held in July.
Nerja residents can visit the caves and see the concerts free of charge if they take proof of residency with them.
The concerts of the 3rd and 10th of June will feature the following: Oboe Concerto in G m. Giovanni Benedetto Platti, Concerto for Two Violins in A m. Antonio Vivaldi, and concerto for oboe and violin in D m. Johann Sebastian Bach.
The orchestra consists of David Laguna, oboe, violins Jorge Lu, Sara Munoz, Raul Cesar Lopez and Elena Ruiz, Helena Fernandez, viola, and Virgil Menendez, cello. The orchestra will augment its wind section for the final concert on 17 June, and will have a different programme of music.
Tickets to the July festival sell out quickly (when they go on sale) and these free concerts are bound to be popular with visitors and residents alike.
