Nerja’s Municipal School female Volleyball team have become Andalucian champions after winning this weekend’s tournament. The best player was awarded to Ana Muñoz from Nerja.
The Nerja team beat Huelva 3-0, the hosts Almería 3-2 and Córdoba by 3-0. The councillor for sports José Alberto Tomé, congratulated the team and its trainers and said that it is doubly satisfying to have won the championships and have a team member named as best player in the tournament.
The team also dominated the B finals, held a few weeks ago in Almería, from which four teams qualified for this weekends final, dominated once again by the Nerja team.
The volleyball team now go on to contest the Spanish Championships to be held from the 22nd of May in Barcelona.
