Nerja Local PoliceNerja’s local police have been getting busy over the past few weeks handing out fines for anti-social behaviour, such as dogs fouling the pavements and unlicensed beach massages, according to Inocencia Quintero, Nerja’s councillor for Public Safety.

As well as the twenty sanctions imposed for owners not picking up after their pets, five people have been reported for public littering and two for occupying the public highway without the necessary licenses.

Seven people have been caught carrying out massages on the beach without a permit and there have been nine public disorder offences recorded (some requiring the attendance of the health services).

The local police have also expanded their ranks with two new members in time for the summer season.
