Sunday’s hike up the Venta Panadero in the hills behind Nerja enjoyed superb weather after the few days of rain we had and was well attended with people from many different nationalities. The hike was organised by EQUO and the walkers met up at 9am at the bus station in Nerja and at 9.30am in Frigiliana.
The hike itself started from Acebuchal, passing through Puerto Blanquillo, the río Chillar, the collado de los Civiles and the cerro Lucero amongst others. The walk took three hours to ascend and another three to come back down, with a long rest on Venta Panadero in between and the walkers enjoyed great weather, nice company and fabulous views.
A total of 24 people and 6 dogs took part, aged from 5 years up to 70, with Spaniards, Argentinians and people from Finland, Netherlands, Germany and Austria.
The next Salida Verde Hike will take place around the end of November and will be publicised in our What’s On In Nerja pages on MyNerja.com when the details are announced. More photos of the hike below.
