The Cartero Real (Royal Postman) is on his way to Nerja and will be here tomorrow (Thursday) and Friday.
The Royal Postman collects the letters from Nerja’s children for delivery to the Three Kings (Los Reyes), who, as is traditional in Spain, bring the christmas presents on January 6th.
Children will be able to hand over their letters at 5pm on the Balcon de Europa on the 3rd and on the following day at Plaza Andalucia at 4.30pm in Nerja and afterwards in Maro at the Centro Municipal de Usos MĂșltiples. There will also be children’s entertainment and last year there was a bouncy castle on the Balcon de Europa to add to the excitement.
The Nerja Bugle and Drum Band will also be performing at Plaza Andalucia on Friday.
On Saturday the 5th of January 2013, the Three Kings themselves arrive in Nerja, and there will be a parade around the streets of the town, starting at 5pm at Parque Verano Azul, passing through the Balcon de Europa.
