Plaza Cantarero in Nerja is a small square with a fountain and a cafe, at the top of Calle Pintada. The square is popular with locals and is a good place to go for a morning coffee at one of the outside tables from Cafe Cantarero.
There are several hostals nearby, including Hostal Cantarero and Hostal Lorca. The bus station is a few minutes walk from the plaza and the Mercadona Supermarket is just round the corner on Calle de San Miguel.
