We found it. It’s behind the big fish store on the west side of town. Still excellent.

It’s near the intersection of Castilla Perez and Jaen, in I think, Plaza Marina. you have to go north and west of the fish store on Castilla Perez. Hope you find it. It’s even better!

We love this tapas bar. They have a terrific selection. Does anyone know if (or where) it has re opened?

I don’t know if the old owners have opened a new bar, but El Quijote as it is now known, is still very good.

We went into Bar Turry this week to try the tapas and it was really good. I think this is one of the best bars in this part of town now – two small beers with two tapas were 3.00 euros – great value for money and really nice tapas. We will be back.

Miguel & Mercedes were superb. However, on our last visit, Reduan had taken over and we got on like a house on fire. Spent virtually all my time in there, eating, drinking, chatting. I’m happy to hear that since Reduan closed this venue has reopened. I wish them well and will certainly visit to try their tapas. However, I’d dearly love to know what happened to Reduan. He was talking of moving to France. Any locals on here who might know whether he did, or perhaps if he stayed and is working elswhere in town? Apologies if this is off topic!

we used the bar a lot when miguel & mercedes had it & thougt their tapas was among the best in town.having been in bar turry several times over the last 2 weeks I have o say the tapas is equally as good as miguel’s.
however,it was not very busy,so hope they will survive.

I was here in the first week of July 2012, and a lovely morrocan guy was behind the bar, such a friendly guy, couldn’t do enough for you,the bar was very quiet. Just wondering has the bar changed hands again. Many thanks

This used to be a great tapas bar when it was Pescador but now I think it is even better. Apart from being smarter in appearance the bar is still full of locals and the tapas are fantastic. Over the past week I have been in several times and enjoyed the fresh fish and seafood, the callos, pinchitos, chicken in garlic, pork in almond sauce, wonderful criollo chorizo – all good portions and served by the friendly owners. The raciones are well priced and you get loads too – I had the mixed fried seafood, delicious and crispy.
