Little Italy is a very popular restaurant on Calle Carabeo, near to the Balcon de Europa, which specialises in classic Italian food - namely pizza, pasta, meat and fish dishes, all at very reasonable "crisis" prices, starting at just €3.50. The drinks are also reasonably priced, with bottles of wine starting at €5.00 and a small beer at just 80 cents.

Don't be fooled by the low prices though, as the food and drink is of the quality you would expect from a restaurant on one of the best streets in Nerja, you won't be disappointed.

As a result of this combination of quality and value, there are often queues to get an outside table during the summer months, but due to the fast service and quick turnround time, you usually don't have to wait too long, even at its busiest.

As well as the tables outside, the restaurant has an indoor seating area, complete with a small balcony upstairs.

Our own recommendations are Pizza Caprichosa (with tomato, mozzarella, onion, egg, olives and ham), Spaghetti Frutti di Mare (with a generous helping of prawns, clams, and mussels) and Pollo al Roquefort (grilled chicken with a cheese sauce, served with chips).

All the food is also available to takeaway if you want to eat at home.
