The Taste of India, Nerja is one of the town's longest established Indian Restaurants, having first opened its doors in August 2000. The restaurant, on pedestrianised Calle Carabeo in the centre of Nerja, is very popular with visitors and locals alike and offers all its customers an excellent meal in an enjoyable and relaxed atmosphere.

To take advantage of the fantastic weather in Nerja the restaurant has tables outside at the front from May onwards where you can watch the world go by as you dine. Inside there is also a central, open courtyard and the restaurant itself is cosy and yet has plenty of space for everyone. The staff are friendly and helpful and all speak English.

Raju, the owner, has extensive experience working in a variety of well-established British Tandoori restaurants, which clearly shows in the contents of the menu and the quality of the food.

The well thought out menu offers everything you would expect from a curry house, with a good selection of chicken, lamb, prawn and biryani dishes in addition to dishes from the Tandoor and the Chef’s specialities. There is also a range of vegetarian and vegetable dishes, plus of course rice and a variety of tandoori breads.
