Perfect weather conditions for this year’s Virgen del Carmen, which was paraded through the streets down to Torrecilla beach, before being returned by boat to Calahonda beach, with a large firework display.

The Virgen was accompanied on her sea journey by a small armada of private boats and fishermen, taking advantage of this year’s calm conditions to get a grandstand view of the proceedings.

Afterwards there was a party on the packed Balcon de Europa, with Los Hados Negros performing live.

The procession was filmed by TV’s Andalucia Directo which will also be featured in Canal Sur’s “Vive Andalucía”.
