The small street that runs from Calle Carmen up to Plaza España by the Balcon de Europa has finished having a €60,000 makeover. As well as a few small shops and restaurants, the Nerja Tourist Information office is on this street and it is the only section in the immediate area that hadn’t been pedestrianised in the works that have taken place over the past few years.
The street and pavements have been repaved to the same standard as the surrounding streets, with the road surface now being at the same level as the pavements. The original trees that were at the side of the road have been replaced with orange trees.
As well as the tourist information office, the street gives access to the Balcon de Europa from the underground car park at Plaza España and as such is used by many visitors to the town.
