Plans to boost tourism in Nerja, by the creation of botanical gardens between Maro and the Nerja Caves, moved a step closer to the go ahead after an environmental assessment report came down in favour of the project.
Authorisation to begin the work cannot yet be granted however, until an archaeological ground survey has been carried out, as the project will be classified as one being constructed on a site of special cultural interest.
