Events for this years International Women’s Day in Nerja start on Tuesday March the 5th with a screening of the Spanish language film “Gabi” in the Nerja Cultural Centre at 6pm. Entrance is free.

10am to 12:30pm Workshop “Improve the Self-Esteem Of Women With Disabilies”
Thursday 7th
6pm Screening of the Spanish language film “Frida” a film about disabled female painters. In the Nerja Cultural Centre
Friday 8th
Midday – Official acts to mark the International Women’s Day 2013 at the Council chamber.
6pm – Projection of a documentary and theatre at the Nerja Cultural Centre. Entrance free.
Sunday 10th
Midday – 3rd Walk For Equality – departing from Plaza de España then around the following streets: Carmen, Cavana, Diputación, Castilla Pérez, Los Cangrejos, Torrecilla, El Chucho, Rivera del Río Chillar, Verano Azul, San Miguel, Cantarero, Pintada, Balcón de Europa and Plaza de España.
Tuesday 12th
L@s escritor@s locales – lecture about Maria de la O Lejarraga at the Centro Giner de los Rios on Calle Diputacion.
Wednesday 13th
10am to 12.30pm Workshop “Prevention of violence against disabled women”
Friday 22nd
10am to 12.30pm Workshop “Intervention and Support for families of people with disabilities”
Note: All the workshops take place in number 80 Calle Carabeo, Aula 3. They are free and you should register in advance. All lectures, films and workshops are in Spanish.
