The fire brigade were called out last night just before midnight to a fire in a caseta on a plot of land behind El Playazo beach, to the west of Nerja.
The fire was put out at approximately 12:30am with no injuries reported. The caseta in question is a small building containing various items such as tables and chairs. There are many of these small casetas on plots of land at El Playazo, used by locals as weekend retreats.
The Guardia Civil are investigating the cause of the fire.
