Funky, zumba, digital typing, female defense and introduction to parapsychology are just some of the adult education courses on offer this year from the Centro Municipal de Información a la Mujer in Nerja.
The Councillor for Equality, Gema Garcia, has announced that registration has opened for the workshops, which this year will be held in the Centro Giner de los Ríos, in calle Diputación (near to Plaza Cavana), rather than in Calle Carabeo as in previous years (see map below).
Although full details of the classes available have not yet been finalised, Councillor Garcia says that the majority of the courses from last year will be available again this year, plus new ones including funky and zumba.
The workshops begin on October the 14th, and will be held mornings, afternoons and evenings, Monday to Saturday. The cost for each course is 15 euros per month, with the first month being 7.5 euros. English classes are also held at the centre – call in for more details.
The courses are open to men and women aged 16 years and above and will run until June 30th next year. As well as registering in advance, courses can be joined at any time during the year.
