The small street that runs from Calle Carmen up to Plaza España by the Balcon de Europa is to get a €60,000 makeover. As well as a few small shops and restaurants, the Nerja Tourist Information office is on this street and it is the only section in the immediate area that hasn’t been pedestrianised in the works that have taken place over the past few years.
The improvements, which were announced by Councillor Antonio Garcia from Nerja Council, will bring the street up to the same standards as the neighbouring roads.
As well as the tourist information office, the street gives access to the Balcon de Europa from the underground car park at Plaza España and as such is used by many visitors to the town.
