The council have put up new signs at El Playazo Beach (the westernmost beach in Nerja) in Spanish and English to advertise the fact that there is free parking in the two car parks behind the beach. The signs also ask people not to park on the roadway itself and to leave it free for emergency vehicles. The English side of the sign demonstrates the folly of using Google Translate.
Every summer large numbers of people park on the roadway as this is the only beach in Nerja with such easy access for cars.
