March has seen turbulent weather in Nerja, with rain and high winds, snow on the mountain tops but enough warm sunny days to break up the winter monotony. The highest temperature reached was 21.3°C on March the 8th and the lowest 9.4°C on March 1st. Thunder storms crossed over Nerja yesterday, with heavy rain at times, but today’s forecast is clear skies and a spring-like high of 18°C. However the unsettled weather is forecast to continue for the rest of the week.

Semana Santa (Easter) gets fully underway this weekend with a Palm Sunday procession starting at Ermita de Nuestra Senora De Las Angustias at midday, before making its way down to the Iglesia de el Salvador at the Balcon de Europa.
