The XXV annual Dia del Pedal takes place on the 28th of February 2013. Now in its 25th year, hundreds of people in Nerja will get on their bikes and follow a course through the town. This is a fun day and all participants will receive a special T-shirt, refreshments and be entered into a draw to win prizes. The start and finish of the course is on Plaza de España.
There are always special awards each year for the most original bike and the oldest entrant. The number of entrants to this event have grown over the years, with just a few hundred taking part in the first event back in 1988.
With perfect weather the Dia Del Pedal 2012 in Nerja attracted over 2000 cyclists who set off at midday to complete the course around the town. All ages were represented from small children being towed on miniature bikes by a parent to the more mature residents of Nerja.
