Dona Wellness on Calle Antonio Millon, in the centre of Nerja, offers clients a range of alternative therapies aimed at promoting and maintaining optimum physical and mental health.

The centre is owned and run by Juan López Ríos who is fluent in English, Spanish and German. Juan originally qualified as a Sports Teacher but has trained additionally in Natural Medicine, Naturopathy, Chiromassage, Foot Reflexology and other therapies complemented with Aromatherapy, Chromotherapy and Music Therapy etc

The therapies can help improve our overall physical & mental condition and help in the prevention of illnesses and ailments. Also they can help alleviate such problems as muscular aches and stiffness, back pain, tension, circulation and digestive problems, high blood pressure, constipation, non-specific pain and sleeplessness. Juan has a holistic approach and a treatment session might involve more than one of the above therapies, as appropriate.

Your appointment will start off with an in-depth discussion of your lifestyle and any health issues or concerns that you have.  Further diagnosis is often done with reflexology and then any additional treatment carried out. Each session lasts approximately 45 mins to 1 hour and the cost per session is just 30 euros.

Juan believes that, when it comes to health, prevention is better than cure and he can advise you about nutrition and healthy thinking and also formulate an exercise programme to increase and maintain your bodily health and strength.

The exercise programme will be tailored specifically to your needs and he will show you how to perform each exercise correctly.  You will be given detailed notes and diagrams to help you perform the exercises easily and correctly at home.
