The 4th Nerja Fábrica Rock Festival takes place on 30th April 2011 at the Chaparil school on Calle Antonio Ferrandis Chanquete.
Previous festivals have been staged at night inside the school hall, but this year the organisers have decided to make this an open air festival, and to run it through the afternoon and into the evening. The gates open at 1pm, and there will be fresh paella included in the price for those who want something to eat before the live action starts at 2pm.
The bands confirmed this year are Locura Precoz, Nación Zero, Spencer, Unsuspected, L.A. Cría, N.R.S., Organized Confusion and La Vihen Santa. Musical styles range from pop rock to more hardcore sounds, and the musicians are a mix of seasoned performers and talented young players.
There are not many opportunities for these bands to gig in their home town, nor for fans of rock music to see bands in Nerja who write and perform their own songs. This year’s festival should be the best yet, so keep April 30th free, get down to the Chaparil school, and enjoy the music and the sun.
