CAS (Costa Animal Society) is a local animal welfare charity based in Nerja.  It was founded in 1986 and 2012 sees its 26th anniversary of actively helping animals that have been the victims of neglect, cruelty or abandonment.

CAS in Nerja commits itself to help all abandoned animals that are brought to its attention. It promotes care and commitment, and communicates all its experience gained over the years to educate and support the community, the end goal being to help all animals in need.

CAS also commit themselves to provide abandoned animals with access to veterinary treatment, including vaccinations required for all animals by law.

CAS is a registered charity and receives all its funding from membership fees, donations and fundraising events.  Without these it would not exist so your support is vital to ensure the valuable work it does continues into the future.

You can visit the CAS shop in Nerja from Monday to Friday between 10am and 2pm, or see them at the Sunday market in Nerja.  CAS also has a stall at the Torrox Pueblo, Trapiche and Almunecar markets.  The Nerja shop is on Calle Dr Ferran 12 (see map).
